Patriotism to me will always be about an unselfish effort made to bring a difference in the world we live in. Unless we do that, the flag hoisting, ethnic display, greetings exchange will just be the temporary noises that are destined to fade with the sunset of our independence day. I know it is a long shot, but worth giving a try. With whatever resources we have, can we begin or contribute to a change? Is a question we all need to ask ourselves and respond.
