Team 11 became 1+1=2...

The Day was Wednesday, October 8,2008, There was a quiz in Karnal, Around 20 B-schools of the State and Delhi came to check their competence and grip on Management, What a tough competition, KASAM Se , kissi ko kuchh nai aata tha...The Quiz was so stiff that there was a tie on the score "ZERO"... :-), jokes apart, i got an opportunity to test myself and my team for the quiz that was called " MANAGEMENT QUIZ" - @ Karnal , sponsored by TATA . it was for the first time i went to DIET Karnal, It ws the greatest institution* i have ever seen :-), I have been staying in my city for so long, for the first time i got an opportunity to visit this temple of education* , though many of my peers study there..( got a chance to meet them too)...

*Conditions apply - This is what their Chairman said, but when u r on the Chair of Chairman, will u say tht u r still miles away from the best....????? or DIET is a temple of education well stuffed with regular strikes, regular tussles and school kind of environment :-)... OFcourse No, so we agree, tht DIET is the best instt. nooootttttt in India , butttt in the World( It was said bu a tall smart lecturer in the insttt :-), in the wish he wants to be fulfilled:-), GREAT LEVEL OF SATISFACTION:-)), I wish the same :-P

What I'll acknowledge in the quiz would be the effective use of resources and transparent system of quizzing, DEIT's own team was there, but they played like a normal external participant, The quiz masters were great, coordination was just brilliant... :-), The lacking part was the continuous discontinuation in the quiz roundssssss.... This is wht i hate , these chief guests kind of persons never come on timeeee..... I dont know why do we forget tht COMMITMENT IS THE ONLY VIRTUE THT MAKES U BIG, Either u dont commit , and if u have committed to be there at xyz time , be there on time...

The Quiz ws stuffed with a contest called " Sunno dil ki awaaz" , as u must be aware tht TATA indicom has recently changed its tagline... THis is its new tagline, quiz being sponsored by them, it was included in the contest...

Everyone in the other teams said that they want this ,that, jobs , etc... no one thought tht it is a one line wish and there is no aim being asked, they wre just asking u abt a wish...

examples:
1. i want tht my sister gets a job...
2. i want tht God gives me strength to fulfil my dreams
3. i want tht i get a good career...

Well, Guys when u were making ur wishes, GOD was listening u, i wish ur dreams come true too...

No where in OXFORD i read tht i wish has to be made keeping in mind the long term career... :-)   Came my turn, on the wish i want to make... :-), went to stage, bit under confident, didnt have much to say... The statement i gave was " Good evening everyone (tensed), I am Ankit , from IMS ...( Bit relieved , adaptability), Well, i am getting myopic today, and i am giviing a wish for my team, instead of me alone, our myopic wish for today is " we want to win this quizzzzzzzz ") :-):-) , without saying thank u( my fault, sorry to everyone) , i came back...

This was the team's collective wish yesterday and to some extent we made it.. THanks to Almighty for it...

Suppose , i was asked to make a personal wish... Guess what it would hve been like:
1. Mujhe Patlaaa Karo( AMWAY KI ad, yaad hai)
2. A Good Life, at least i become a good person...
3. I want to fulfil all my commitments, whatsoever made to my familyyyyy and peersssssss
4. Galti se main Chief Guest hua kabhi to audiences ko tang naaa karunnnnnn, will be on time...:-)

I know God is reading the above said lines, he is everywhere, this is wht i beleive in...

Talking of quiz....

The best parttttttttt - The DEIT's preparationss, i hve hosted quiz many times, here i learnt new thingssssss.....

We came 2nd... (1+1=2)... we were the contestant 11... The breakup of the quiz goes like...
a. There were 5 rounds in all...
  1. Taglines... ( Good for us, we came out as leaders with the 3 out 5 answers, highest amongsth the contestants) score =15
  2. Current affairs related to business( went fine, we got 2 correct answers, the score went to 25)
  3. Logos and symbolsss( it was the elimination round, we qualified as the top scorer with 45 points...)
  4. Who, where , when( It ws an uneasy round for all, still we couldnt make a lead, got 20 , but DEIT's team made 30 in it..)
  5. Management quizzzz ( The best round for us, gave 4 correct answers , became the highest scorers , but JMET team got a bonus question, HE bhagwan, they had a luck with them)...
Chalo , at the end of day, we lcame 2nd due to bonus question, still we were happy  as ours was the only team which belled the maximum questions, no one can deny the fact tht our answers came from knowledge instead of luckkkkk....its not unfortunate, because in a game , someone has to come first :-):-), cheerrrrrrrrssssssssss to JMETTTTTTTT

Add ur commentsssssssss pleaseeeee... lets play sunno dil ki awaaz here.............

Agriculture - Oxygen for manyyyy

Talking on agriculture, About 75% of the Indian population lives in rural areas and about 80% of this population is dependent on agriculture for its livelihood.Agriculture accounts for about 37% of the national income. The development of the rural areas and of agriculture and its allied activities thus becomes vital for the rapid development of the economy as a whole. Agricultural Productivity Even though India occupies the first or second position in the world in several crops in terms of area and production, it's rank in terms of productivity per hectare in the world is 52 for rice, 38 for wheat and much low in several other crops. The productivity of some crops is not only low but also remained stagnant over the years. The yield gap needs to be bridged through an integrated package of technology and agricultural policies to reap the untapped production potential, particularly, in rain-fed and other low productivity areas. What the INDIA INC says abt it? A...

New Journey!!! - Plannin to write my blog

Well, I m no Amitabh Bachhan, No Aamir Khan, tht ppl will be reading my blog or will be finding it worth reading. All i know is tht i am getting inspired from Ankur to write it. This is my opening post meant to be read for ppl close to me.   Its 10:10pm now, September 25 th 2008 , I have decided to replicate the high flying Blogging concept whilst I know I have the slightest listeners. Holidays have started, No great work to do these days, except getting inclined to TV and gossips, ‘Roz ki faaltu baatein’ would be the core activity in my list regularly till 5 th October.   Will be missing my college buddies, Its always a dependence tht gets created when you meet the same ppl regularly, The best and worst part of “Chhutiyan-Holidays’ is the “ending/missing of monotonous routine” , on one side I m happy tht this break would end up my daily 9 to 6 college routine and on the same time I will be / already started missing my friends and foes J . Tension mat lo, foes are an import...
