The time is right to kill the other evils that live in our daily chores. It's time that all our social taboos are made to rest at peace. It is also the time that we end up the divisive, discriminatory and toxic mindset that we have got cultured to. It's never too late to start fresh and start respecting the values that make us human. Irrespective of the governments in power and without being biased to any of the wings, I seriously want someone to explain what development means for India. I genuinely feel that it is more of a buzzword that everyone gets excited while speaking or hearing. Ever since I have started to understand this concept (maybe for over ten years now), I see little success or a focus towards any of the real indicators that, according to me, can contribute to the progress of a nation. 1. Our folks continue to talk of GDP, credit, fiscal, IIP or sundry, how does it reflect upon the people who, even after 70 years, of independence have not been included into the formal economy. Let alone their inclusion, they, to a significant extent, do not even have access to basic needs. 2. We have been harping on building rail networks, excellent connectivities and so much in the name of development. Have we, even for once, thought to check that the people at the lower end of the pyramid need more than...

I know it's not easy to come out publicly and share what people have gone through historically. It is also believable that men, on several occasions, may have abused their power positions to cause severe mental and physical trauma to aggrieved. But, at the same time, all this appears gross injustice to the guys under suspicion, guess we have been in a little hurry to accuse them without hearing their side. If #metoo movement has to bring equality, the murky other side should be known and this must be free of sympathy and a predetermined notion that women have always been the victims

I don't want to comment specifically about Utsav Chakraborty, but I do get worked up by this stand-up trip of few unschooled people. I think, of late, this comedy fever has become a reckless platform to make sexist comments, drive overenthusiastic feminism and give unnecessary importance to crass, booze and sundry.     I don't think to say "F***" 10 times in 20 words makes you any cool, yes, it does get you the attention you don't deserve. I hope we get over this crisis soon!

Deeply saddened by the wreck in Kerela. What disheartens me more is the perpetual reoccurrence of such incidents across the regions.   All that happened has a sharp indication of the unnecessary environmental damage that has occurred over the years. We have forever ignored natural capital in the interest of people and development; I think it is high time for us to rethink the preferences for the future(If at all, it exists). It is crucial that we stop claiming our supremacy over other elements of nature(Flora and Fauna)  Highly unlikely that our reapproach will deliver 100% success, but if not prioritized, its almost sure that such a breakdown could happen in any city, any region and in no time. 

We all, at root, are time optimists. We always think there's enough time to do things with other people. Time to say things to them. And when time flies, we stand there holding on to words like 'if' 'I wish', "i hope' - Unknown

Patriotism to me will always be about an unselfish effort made to bring a difference in the world we live in. Unless we do that, the flag hoisting, ethnic display, greetings exchange will just be the temporary noises that are destined to fade with the sunset of our independence day.   I know it is a long shot, but worth giving a try. With whatever resources we have, can we begin or contribute to a change? Is a question we all need to ask ourselves and respond. Happy Independence day India and its people!

It's the number of people who will actually show up to look at your newly bought house. It's the number of people who will make a slightly larger than a thumb effort to be there for you.
