Entitlement

I don't know if it's just me, or if there are a lot of people who feel this way. I don't expect people to put in endless hours; prefer quality work any day. I also don't expect people to show their face every day, work from home is perfectly fine. I want them to have a quality life outside of work. Yet, I'm not sure why many of the folks still struggle to deliver on one basic expectation: commitment. I need to be able to trust that they will do what is expected. Somehow, it feels like there's a sense of entitlement now; unless it's instant gratification, the needle doesn't move. It's a constant seek for validation rather than trying to be relevant. Travel 🧳

I have been traveling for many years, but the last few months have been different as I had the chance to stay in places a bit longer. Every country is unique; no one place is better than another, just different. That said, #Japan is the place I would pick to learn the most from. It isn’t just about the cool tech or the incredibly seamless transport; it’s the little things: their amazing attention to detail, how easy it is to get around even if you don't speak the language, and that deep sense of commitment they have to make sure everything runs exactly as it should.
