Covid again

The thoughts around nature taking its course, pollution settling to the levels it should be and the life going slow into the 80s and 90s have fizzled naturally and it is overtly evident. While all this looks good to Tom Tom about, it's hard to get the sustainability of life restored with an insignificant economic activity. With people losing out to the disruption, maintaining a healthy, happy and optimistic thought process is a challenge all of us confront with.  -- Sent from my iPad

Be reasonable

Our life is often subject to external judgements and biases. But, in reality, nobody except us lives the moments we sail through. Only we know our happy times and also the ebbs and flow that we witness. While everyone is entitled to judgements, it's very unjustified to scrutinise others with the lens of biased and inconclusive opinions - Ankit  -- Sent from my iPad

The retail woes

I think the disruption due to Covid-19 is here to stay and it's going to be hard to gauge the impact this would have on us as a society or the livelihood. I tried going out on the second weekend in a row, and all that I could observe is a gloomy state of malls and the businesses inside. If there were a countable number of people out, probably 90% of them were the employees, facility and housekeeping guys. While a lot of effort has gone into maintaining safety and hygiene, it wasn't enough to zap the fear pandemic has had into our minds. As a consumer, the life may soon be usual for us with the digital and contactless door deliveries of the bulk of our demands, but the state of malls worry me if we are heading towards the end of the physical, experiential retail. Personally, for me, there is no replacement to the touch and feel the experience of the retail stores, then the question is that for how long these brand stores would be willing to incur losses and continue employment f...

With you, India

The government's explanation on the China issue looks inadequate and unconvincing given the significant loss we had on people and damages otherwise. I would ideally not want to believe them had this been a usual conflict, but on this, I will fully buy in their reasoning and support our government and defence forces with solidarity and conviction  -- Sent from my iPad

Nepotism

In our itch to write about nepotism, we are going way too far to settle for an arbitrary position. I am not sure about the rest, but this word was a discovery in my zone until I realised that it is more a rehashed representation for the clout a person in dominant position would have. I also understood that our society, independent of the profession, is designed to operate in this fashion naturally and subconsciously all of us are a part in either favouring or being favoured through nepotism. We get depressed to see people benefitting through a privileged position. Still, at the same time, such an advantage doesn't come in perpetuity, and a lot of people fail to overcome the challenges of real-life even if their first access was through an unfair platform. While it is good to follow the buzz words, it's also important not to unjustly accuse people on a prejudice- Ankit  -- Sent from my iPad

Our confusions are typically in the unknown details and many times, the extent of the problems may not be the same as we would have otherwise anticipated. — Ankit Gupta (@liveankit) June 18, 2020 from Twitter https://twitter.com/liveankit June 18, 2020 at 05:51PM via IFTTT

Often we complicate our life beyond what we are expected to. There is not much we can do with a few things, even if these are overwhelming on our mind. We always have an option not to speculate beyond what we have to deal on a particular day. — Ankit Gupta (@liveankit) June 18, 2020 from Twitter https://twitter.com/liveankit June 18, 2020 at 05:51PM via IFTTT

Much more to life!

There is much more to life than living it for the sake of the reputation that you carry in the virtual world. It makes you no less a person if you are deprived of prominence someone else gets. Probably everything happens at the right time, and it does for the right reasons, and there should be no stress to run after the things you do not have control on and effectively run away from the happiness you can have it at the moment.   Sent from my iPad

Being Paranoid

I am at the risk of causing some disrespect to 100s of my friends who have posted this, the messages carrying " I am a call away", "Reach out to friends", "speak up", "we are in this together" are going to wither in the chaos we all are subscribed to. I think our problem(still unknown to a few) is deep-rooted and need serious thinking about the design of our life, our omnipresence in the extremely superficial or virtual world and also much towards the busy routines, we are part of. Believe it or not, even if we extend the promises today; we are going to be back to the typical camouflaged regimes.
