Lalu Prasad has offered a lot as RM

Lalu Prasad Yaadav is one of the most important characters of Indian Politics, He is a person who lives life in extremity, when talked about criticism he is ranked 1 , when talked of performance, he is being ranked 1...

His work says following:

Be a doer not an expert

Everyone can't be an expert and one doesn't essentially need to be an expert to achieve success. In fact, there is no dearth of experts.

One just needs to put in hard work to bring a positive change.

Be open

No matter how important a position one holds, one must always be open to open to new suggestions. The best form of advice may come from the person working at the lowest stratum of a company.

Always acknowledge

Money is an incentive, no doubt but the biggest form of reward for any worker happens to be acknowledgement. Timely appreciation can go a long way in inspiring someone to do better than the best.

Be a good man manager

One must possess the tact to choose the right people for the right project. Someone who fails miserably at understanding a computer programme may show amazing skills at resolving a complicated puzzle of accounting.

A good man manager knows who is good at what.

Trust your team

One must always place one's faith in the team one heads. The policy of standing by the people and trusting their ideas is an infallible management funda.

No risk, no gain

A good manager is the person who is not scared of taking risks. Any business necessarily entails taking risks. And one who is brave enough to take a chance always succeeds in the ultimate round.

Believe in practice, not theory

One should not get too bogged down by technicalities of management theories. The best management lesson can be learnt through trial and error. Books can provide a guideline only, they can never be the doer's functional steps.

Have common sense

In times of crisis, one must fall back on one's common sense. Relate a business problem to a personal one and ask yourself how you would have solved it in your personal capacity. Use your common sense and a solution is sure to follow.

Each of railway minister's speeches is compulsorily punctuated with humour.

He draws instances from his life while discussing intricate political issues. Here are a few gems from his notebook:

  • I work so much. If I don't get all the comforts, I will turn mad.
  • Everybody wants to rise to the top position in their respective fields. I would become the PM one day, but not now. I have put the matter in the pending list for now.
  • I know some people say I can be funny. But there is always a deeper meaning to what I say. I am a socialist at heart and have the interests of the poor in mind. When people see how I manage to work my way out of tough situations, it gives them hope in their own life.
  • If you do not milk the cow fully, it falls sick.
  • "I will make Bihar's roads as smooth as Hema Malini's cheeks," Lalu one's declared. In fact, Hema Malini calls herself a 'fan' of Lalu Prasad.

  • My mother always told me not to handle a buffalo by its tail, but always catch it by its horns. And I have used that lesson in everything in my life, including the Railways.

  • Why should I tell you where I am going to get funds from? If I were to do that then all the vested interests would get alerted. You must be aware that railways are full of such elements and my fight is against them.
  • Wagon is the bread-earning horse of the Railways. Load it adequately. Make it run and don't stable it.
  • If we increase freight rates, the goods will move through the roads and the condition of the roads will become worse.

  • Yadav's reforms that transformed the story of the Indian Railways:

  • In the last three years, the railways minister has more than doubled the number of tatkal seats
  • Rail ministry sources admitted that the additional tatkal seats have been taken out of the berths available under normal reservation and this has reduced the chances for passengers to buy cheaper tickets in advance.
  • In the last four years, the Railways have upgraded 210 mail and express trains to the super-fast category, taking the total number of such trains to 350.

  • Well, if u go thru the post , and if u see the facts of Indian Railways u'll find LPY the best Railway Minister India has ever produced , he has definately made a place in the history of Indian Railwaysssss.... Its a great achievement...

    Agriculture - Oxygen for manyyyy

Talking on agriculture, About 75% of the Indian population lives in rural areas and about 80% of this population is dependent on agriculture for its livelihood.Agriculture accounts for about 37% of the national income. The development of the rural areas and of agriculture and its allied activities thus becomes vital for the rapid development of the economy as a whole. Agricultural Productivity Even though India occupies the first or second position in the world in several crops in terms of area and production, it's rank in terms of productivity per hectare in the world is 52 for rice, 38 for wheat and much low in several other crops. The productivity of some crops is not only low but also remained stagnant over the years. The yield gap needs to be bridged through an integrated package of technology and agricultural policies to reap the untapped production potential, particularly, in rain-fed and other low productivity areas. What the INDIA INC says abt it? A...

New Journey!!! - Plannin to write my blog

Well, I m no Amitabh Bachhan, No Aamir Khan, tht ppl will be reading my blog or will be finding it worth reading. All i know is tht i am getting inspired from Ankur to write it. This is my opening post meant to be read for ppl close to me.   Its 10:10pm now, September 25 th 2008 , I have decided to replicate the high flying Blogging concept whilst I know I have the slightest listeners. Holidays have started, No great work to do these days, except getting inclined to TV and gossips, ‘Roz ki faaltu baatein’ would be the core activity in my list regularly till 5 th October.   Will be missing my college buddies, Its always a dependence tht gets created when you meet the same ppl regularly, The best and worst part of “Chhutiyan-Holidays’ is the “ending/missing of monotonous routine” , on one side I m happy tht this break would end up my daily 9 to 6 college routine and on the same time I will be / already started missing my friends and foes J . Tension mat lo, foes are an import...
