Nano Technologyyyyyyyyyyy

NANOTECHNOLOGY

  • Nano means small (10^-9 m) but of high potency, and emerging with large applications piercing through all the discipline of knowledge, leading to industrial and technological growth.
  • Nano-sized structure needs to be magnified over 10 million times before we can easily appreciate its fine detail with the naked eye.
  • Nanotechnology is already having its impact on products as diverse as novel foods, medical devices, chemical coatings, personal health testing kits, sensors for security systems, water purification units for manned space craft, displays for hand-held computer games, and high-resolution cinema screens. Nanotechnology is expected to have an impact on nearly every industry.
  • The U.S. National Science Foundation has predicted that the global market for nanotechnologies will reach $1 trillion or more within 20 years.

WHAT IS NANO TECHNOLOGY?

Nanotechnology is a catch-all phrase for materials and devices that operate at the nanoscale. In the metric system of measurement, "Nano" equals a billionth and therefore a nanometer is one-billionth of a meter.

Nanotechnology is a multidisciplinary science that has its roots in fields such as colloidal science, device physics and supramolecular chemistry.

NANOTECHNOLOGY is a fundamental, enabling technology, allowing us to do new things in almost every conceivable technological discipline. Nano means small (10^-9 m) but of high potency, and emerging with large applications piercing through all the discipline of knowledge, leading to industrial and technological growth.

As the prefix nano indicates extreme smallness. So small, in fact, that a nano-sized structure needs to be magnified over 10 million times before we can easily appreciate its fine detail with the naked eye.
Nanotechnology refers to technologies in which matter is manipulated on the atomic and molecular scale to create novel materials and processes. It is not just the study of the very small; it is the practical application of that knowledge. There are two main routes of entry to the nano-world:

 Its Applications

Nanotechnology and its development is defined by key policy makers, as the development of nanotechnology as the latest mega trend in science and engineering which will bring a wave of radical innovation and perhaps, because of its potentially broad impact, spark new industrial revolution in various application areas1.Areas of applications include immediate impact - drug delivery to treat tumor, cancer (without using radiotherapy & chemotherapy), solar energy, batteries, display technologies, opto-electronic devices, semiconductor devices in nanoelectronics, biosensors, CNT's etc., nanocomposites such as Al2O3 oxides, catalysis, and luminous paints.

Mujhe ab kuch kuch 10,+1+2 ki science ki yaad aa rahi hai or ye padha padha bhi laga but still acha hua ke aapne ise refresh kar diya nahi to mere Dimag ke kissi Kone me Pada hota but fresh hai..

Isi tech ne TATA ko NANO ke lie encourage kiya kya?
SMALLEST CAR [:)] as compared to SAFARI... its BILLONth part [:)]

Give reasons to smile :-)

Everyone in his life has a wrap of worries and concerns, Someone is worried for his career, someone has a family related issue, lot many are strucked in business, few are just too busy with the tension of studies, a lot many are busy with the tensions in friendship and amongst the friends... In my opinion, giving others a reason to worry is an easy task, it takes just fw minutes to hurt anyone, slap him, hit him, say him something undesired, it'll solve the purpose... but for spreading smiles something extra needs to be done.. it is difficult to manage tears than to bring them from someone's eyes. its too difficult to make others laugh from the heart... Looking at few of my peers ( not my close ones frm instt) , i find ppl changin for their parents, why do we tend to forget them ? when we grow? , why our friends become more important in a way tht they take a pie from the share of our moms and dads.. how many times do we think before saying a lie to our moms and dads. Hw do we ...

CRYSYS... The US Meltdown...

Pick out any news paper of today, i guess we have around 65000 newspapers that are registered.... The headline for today is Financial CRISIS... Our country is being affected by the global crisis, that have started from US's sub prime loan issues...  Well , its no surprise , if u look at the following few points.. you'll get an idea on the reasons: Most of our exports in the US, if they go down,we need to bear We have ample of foreign reserves in dollars, any change in their economy has a direct impact on ours. Many of our financial institutions have a connection with the investment bankers of US and  Europe, The prob of foreign exposure can be seen. Our Indian Stock market is very sensitive to information and sentiments, we are just followin the trend. The US is slowing down significantly and the US investors are at risk. That is something, which is a serious problem. If you look at market behavior, over the last 10-15 years, whenever the Fed cut rates, it has normally been goo...

The exams and pattern of studies, although, had no fundamental change, but the pressure of higher studies had a superior space. Not that studies changed, neither were we getting scanned in the rule of autocratic professors, my mind had an urgency, an urge to just get into earning mode. The thought was to get whopping first salary of 2.26 lacs pm and do away with education loan :-) (Obviously Reliance Adag's campaign induced me to think bigger and better).
